| Go to www.freerice.com and work on the "English Vocabulary" or "English Grammar" section. Click on "SUBJECTS" and make sure you have chosen "English Vocabulary" or "English Grammar". After you answer the first vocabulary question, you can change the level. Click on "Change Level". There are 60 levels, so start at Level 1 and work your way up!Under the "Grammar" section, you can't change the level - just keep working! | |
| For every 10,000 grains of rice you earn, you get 10 (ten) points of extra credit! Only 10 points per marking period! | |
| In order to receive the credit, you must print the page (or pages) that prove you earned the rice. Don't forget - if you navigate away from the page, you will lose your rice! They may be on multiple pages and stapled together. Also, your parents must sign off on the sheet of paper. When they sign, they are confirming that YOU did the work and earned the rice! | |
If you don't have a printer, but you have MS Word, you can copy the page that shows how many grains of rice you earned and paste it into a Word doc. by following the directions below. 1. Make sure you're on the page that shows how many grains of "rice" you earned. (You may have to scroll down) 2. In the upper right hand corner of your keyboard, hit the "print screen/SysRq" button. 3. Open MS Word. 4. Go to the empty document and hit Ctrl + V (or just right click and "paste"). 5. Save the page on your flash drive as "freerice" and bring in and print in Media Center. 6. If you don't have MS Word and you want to email it to me instead, when you're on the FreeRice page, hit "Ctrl+A". This will "copy" everything on the page. Then hit "Ctrl +C" to copy and "Ctrl+V" to paste the information into an email to me. |
